On August 23, the 6th China Sanitaryware T8 Summit was grandly held in Kunming. Centered around the themes of “Technology, Intelligence, Low-Carbon, and Globalization,” the summit brought together key stakeholders from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, industry associations, leading enterprises, and think tanks to explore pathways for industry breakthroughs and new drivers for high-quality development. Representing SSWW, Vice President Huo Zhaohong, General Manager of Channel Engineering Division Kong Jin, and General Manager of Guangdong Whale Bay Smart Home Co., Ltd. Zhu Wengang attended the event. As an annual high-profile event in China’s sanitaryware industry, the T8 Summit has consistently aligned with policy directives and industrial upgrading needs, helping enterprises grasp macro-trends, access high-end resources, and foster collaborative ecosystems. In his opening speech, Qin Zhanxue, President of the China Building Materials Circulation Association, emphasized that China is currently undergoing a transformation in consumption structures, with upgrade-driven demand becoming the mainstream. Although the sanitaryware industry is affected by the real estate market’s adjustments, companies should actively strengthen brand building, promote intelligent, green, high-end, and digital transformations, and integrate into the wave of international development. Li Zuoqi, Chairman of the Ceramic and Sanitaryware Dealers Committee of the China Building Materials Circulation Association, delivered a welcome address, offering insights into the industry’s trends for the second half of the year. He encouraged enterprises to maintain confidence and focus on their core businesses amidst a complex and ever-changing market environment. By enhancing product and service competitiveness, companies can seize new opportunities and achieve steady and sustainable development.

 

Liang Yang, Director of the Department of Science, Technology, and Industrialization Development at the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, provided an authoritative interpretation and sharing on strategic support for technological innovation, new urbanization and the “Four Good” initiatives, the application and development of green building materials, and current key tasks.

During the oath-taking ceremony for the “Kunming Declaration on Accelerating the Globalization of China’s Sanitaryware Industry,” Huo Zhaohong joined representatives from other leading sanitaryware brands to solemnly pledge, demonstrating the determination of Chinese sanitaryware enterprises to expand globally and build a collective global brand. At the sanitaryware industry chain roundtable forum, Huo stated, “In the future, we will steadfastly transition from ‘product exports’ to ‘brand exports,’ continuously strengthening technological R&D and innovation accumulate. With differentiated, high-quality sanitaryware solutions, we aim to build truly globally competitive Chinese brands.”
